Bremerton Symphony Orchestra

stringsWe invite local and regional musicians with experience to join the oldest performing arts ensemble in Kitsap County as we begin our 74th season of bringing West Sound communities together sharing a passion for great orchestral music. Bremerton Symphony Orchestra holds auditions for new members in August, September, and as required during the concert season. Applicants should be prepared to perform two minutes of a solo piece (or one minute each of two contrasting solo pieces) and orchestral excerpts. Musicians are requested to arrive 15 minutes ahead of the appointed time. Bremerton Symphony Chorale 

October symphony 260We invite you to join our Chorale! Bremerton Symphony Chorale, an all-volunteer chorus under music direction of Ms. LeeAnne Campos, will hold auditions Mondays September 6 and 13 at the Olympic College Music Building, Bremerton. Experienced musicians with sight-reading capability, of all voice types (SATB), are encouraged to set up a 10-minute audition time by calling the Bremerton Symphony office at (360) 373-1722 or e-mail with “BSC Auditions” as the subject line.

Bremerton Symphony Chorale rehearsals take place Tuesday evenings beginning September 13, at Olympic College’s music building, from 7:15-9:15PM, with some variation. Bremerton Symphony Chorale performs with Bremerton Symphony Orchestra in several productions during the season. Upcoming performance dates are December 10, February 7 (possible – TBD), March 18, and May 13 at Bremerton Performing Arts Center.


Bremerton Youth Symphony 

DSC_0059editBremerton Youth Symphony placement auditions take place September 10, 2016, at Olympic College. Students must submit registration paperwork by September 2, 2016. Our Bremerton Youth Symphony mission is engage youth of Greater Kitsap County in orchestral and ensemble experiences marked by educational excellence. Our youth musicians range from age ten to eighteen. Participating youth explore orchestral and ensemble music with future friends and community members, and develop greater proficiency, stage presence, teamwork, and increased abilities to focus and problem solve. Bremerton Youth Symphony offers a range of symphonic groups, a chorale under the direction of Ms. Sheri Shipe, and a jazz ensemble. Registration for fall 2016 has begun – submit paperwork (PDFs below) and contact us to be added to the placement audition sign-up list. Audition times will be assigned by instrument and age group, and will be announced a week prior to auditions. Returning chorale and jazz ensemble members need not do a placement audition, but must submit registration paperwork by September 2.
