Bremerton Symphony Orchestra & Chorale at Bremerton Performing Arts Center, 1500 13th Street

Symphony hall music used to great effect in films form the core of this unique concert. Maestro Alan Futterman conducts a triad of pieces from 2001: A Space Odyssey--orchestral favorites The Blue Danube by J. Strauss and Zarathustra Opening by R Strauss, and Ligeti's Lux Aeterna featuring the voices of the Bremerton Symphony Chorale (LeeAnne Campos, Music Director) employed as instruments in the Orchestra. A highlight is Bach's Passacaglia and Fugue in c minor from The Godfather in Leopold Stokowski's orchestral arrangement. John Williams' ET Theme joins the program as the single piece actually scored for film. Preconcert chat @ 6:30 p.m. Season packages and individual tickets are now available.
